Intertek operates a fully automated system that incorporates the latest in fusion and TGA technology for XRF analysis. The facility includes a 200 positions sample magazine, three automated weighing stations, six induction heating systems, an automated platinum cleaning station and an XRF interface. The system is capable of weighing, fusing and analysing close to 1000 samples per day.
As part of typical maintenance activities Lycaon Group was engaged in order to diagnose and repair a number of high frequency generators used in the fusion process.
